2014年10月、私は展示のために愛知の漁師の街として知られている田舎へ向かった。
そこにはたくさんのお寺とそれにまつわる聖なる場所があった。
周辺を歩き、天命地蔵という変わったものを見つけた。
普通ではない起源を持っていた。
普通、地蔵は特定の場所に設置されるために作られる。
しかし、それはすでに一つ目の目的を失ったものに、
ある男性が新しい価値を見出したものだった。
私はそれにとても興味を持ち、
その男性が行った行為と同じことをしようと決意した。
October 2014, I went to countryside of Aichi prefecture in order to do one exhibition,
the place is known as a town of fisherman for a long time.
And there are a lot of temples and the relational holy places.
I took a walk for a long time in the area and I found a peculiar thing: Tenmei-jizo.
It has an unusual origin.
Usually, Jizo(Japanese traditional holy statue made by stone) create in order to a certain purpose.
But this one already lost own first purpose and put on new value by one man.
I really interested in this origin, and decided to do the same thing of the man.
